Benjamin Lawson Hooks was an American civil rights leader and government official. A Baptist minister and practicing attorney, he served as executive director of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People from 1977 to 1992.

Bishop Joseph A. Zonicle was a Baptist and community leader who was instrumental in the Labor Movement in The Bahamas in the 1950’s. His inspirational life span over a century and his story gives us a first hand reflection of the development of the modern Bahamas through the eyes of a man of integrity, honor and faith. His was the very first Memory Book in our Signature Series

Bishop Joseph A. Zonicle, J.P.

1919-2022

Medgar Wiley Evers (July 2, 1925 – June 12, 1963) was an American civil rights activist and the NAACP's first field secretary in Mississippi, who was murdered by Byron De La Beckwith. Evers, a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran who had served in World War II, was engaged in efforts to overturn segregation at the University of Mississippi, end the segregation of public facilities, and expand opportunities for African Americans including the enforcement of voting rights. This memory book was created for the 50th Anniversary Service commemorating his Assassination. The Service was held in Washington, DC
